EDUCATION:High school graduate or equivalent with at least two years of clerical experience in the business field. Willingness to develop the skills needed to perform all job duty profiles. Telephone and organizational skills are essential for this position. * Ability to operate standard office equipment including computer, calculator, copy machine, fax and "switchboard type" phone system. * Ability to perform multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. * Proficient in the Spanish language (some circumstances, not all positions) * Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, agencies and the public and to function under pressure. * Ability to learn technical medical terminology and have considerable knowledge of spelling, punctuation and grammar. * Must relate effectively with staff and the public to portray a professional and courteous manner. * Knowledge of the department’s procedures and a variety forms used to apply for benefits.
